We ask that as many members as possible turn out for this. This will be your chance to vote in the committee elections and help drive the coming year with your comments and suggestions.

What’s an MCU you ask? Mobile Communications Unit. We are dispensing with the use of "caravan". The photos below show the first phase of the refit for the MCU. That was to make it professional looking on the outside and to make it recognisable to the public in the official RAYNET colours and typical style of other MCU’s held by other groups.
We look forward to displaying the MCU at EVERY event were possible. It’s an important asset of the group and we feel it should be used every time our group is out at an event or call out. Second phase of the refit will be to reconfigure the inside to make it more fit for purpose.

It’s with great pleasure that we welcome the return of a member of our group after many years away. We welcome the return of Chris Goadby (G8HVV) and his wife Corinne (RAY02113).
Chris joined RAYNET in 1973 and brings with him a wealth of knowledge. Chris has in the past held the position of group controller for Sussex RAYNET and more recently he has filled the position of Treasurer for the Forest Heath group. He and his wife have recently moved back to Cambridgeshire and decided to rejoin their local group. Corinne is unlicensed but has been issued with a RAYNET number and is a full member of group.
Welcome back, both of you!

As you can see or were informed, the site now has a new web address. The old address of http://raynet.thehostedbox.com will continue to work forever, but the new and proper web address should be stored in your book marks as http://www.cambridgeshire-raynet.net.
Enjoy the site, and please feel free to contact The Webmaster if you have questions or comments.

The Cambridge RAYNET Group as present at the CRG (Cambridgeshire Repeater Group) Rally in Bottisham. While we didn’t take any new members on the day we did provide a presence and were very visible.
We were placed immediately between the car park, outside traders and car booters and the walkway to the main building with all the inside traders.
We had a couple of people stop by to see us, most of them were members of other RAYNET groups around the area. They all said they were pleased to see us out today at the rally.
We have also been invited to the CDARC rally next year being held on March 1, 2009. We will also be returning to the CRG Rally next year too.
